So, in case you haven't been keeping up: I got a new job.
Almost the second that I started working for SHC, I had a horrible feeling. I took them two weeks to begin to train me, and by that point, I knew that they were a company I did not feel comfortable representing. This posed a problem seeing as I was their Public Relations person.
So, I went back to Red Robin.
It wasn't as awful as you think. Over the last 5 years, some of the people at RR have become like family to me. I missed them. I also missed how easily I made money there. I would have half the time at work, almost the same amount of money, PLUS I got to spend more time with my husband, friends and puppies.
However, I knew it was not a forever fix. My friend Stacy said that her job
, Property Solutions, was interviewing people. I quickly applied, knowing that she and another friend from my ward, loved their job.
Unfortunately, they decided to let-go their HR person around the time that I was interviewing. So it took a little longer than expected. BUT, I was finally hired as an Account Manager!
Yesterday was my first day! Very briefly, an account manager receives an email from a sales representative. They sign up a client for our services, and then turn them over to us. The Account Managers build the clients a website for their property or properties as the case may be. Once we build the website, we teach the property manager(s) how to use the site and all of the applications. Currently I am working on a test website. When it is finished I will let you take a look at it. It's good fun.
So far... I love it! The people there are great, already becoming friends, and it's nice that I already have some friends there. Sometimes I think that I'm going to burst with all the new information, but I think I am handling it pretty well. It's very technology oriented, and although I am not technologically inclined, I pick it up pretty quickly. Repetition is the key with me!
So anyways, that is what is going on right now with me.
Ben is studying to take the GMAT on March 30th, keep him in your prayers. I think he will do really well, but he struggles with the grammer and reading comprehension parts. Just think, if we could only merge his math and science brain, with my english and history brain... We'd be so smart!
Much love to you all out there. If you would like to learn more about
