It Burns Us

Well, it's official: Miley is vaccinated. And I am now most assuredly the least favorite out of me and Ben.

We've been talking for a while about needing to get her third and fourth round of shots, and get medicine for her heartworms. So, since Ben has a "Real Job" it was to me to make the appointment.

It wasn't so bad at first. Miley was all over the office smelling and exploring. Keep in mind that she hasn't been around ANY dogs for about four months. She was very entertaining and the vets said that she was very cute.

The actual doctors visit... not so nice!! The first shot: a little squeal. Similar to when we accidentally step on her. The second shot: Murder! She yelped! Squirmed. And then tried to bite the doctor and me. Not really try, it didn't hurt. Bust she was defiantly saying, "Let me go! Let me go! This HURTS!!!"

I felt like the worst person in the world! Afterwards I just held her and she snuggled right up to me, like she was trying to apologize to me for whatever she did to receive such a punishment!

We got home and I threw treats at her (the doctor gave her none! Jerk.) Gave her the heartworm pills, which contrary to what the vet said, she did NOT just choke them down. After some finagling, she took them.

The first thought was, Man, why did I have to do this? The second was: if I'm this bad with my DOG, what will I be like when my CHILDREN have to get shots? That is going to SUCK! I'm going to have a breakdown!

After all of the hullabaloo... Where's my Treat?

*** Sorry to all who couldn't read this before... I don't know why, but hopefully it's fixed now.

Why We Shouldn't Be Parents

So, we had a little too much fun with Rachel and Jeremy and Miley the other night. We decided to put a sock around the lower half of her body. Some of us thought she looked like a mermaid, others thought she looked like a sea horse. You decided. One thing is clear, we shouldn't be parents.

Misery on a Stick

Spring is here! Well, in Utah, it's here for about a week and then it snows and it's back. This week has been kind of a kick in the face to my allergies. I love trees that are blossoming. They are beautiful and colorful. But man, they make my nose itch and make me sneeze. Bleh. Are you feeling the same way?

So I had a Bad Day

You know the song, 'Had a Bad day'? As I walked to and fro from school yesterday I had this song going through my head. Let's start things off with a list of the things that sucked....

1. My car suddenly wouldn't turn on. (not my fault btw)
2. My water turned off. Thank you ex-HOA manager Jack (leave out swear word, leave out swear word....)
3. Um... pain because of ... you probably don't need to know why. Just pain. Painful pain!!
4. Teachers that have to have their way for no explainable reason. Errr....
5. 44 days until graduation, not soon enough.

So I came home, took a bath because my water was finally on again (Thank you Tania) and got in my BYU warm-ups. Ben got pizza and Dt. Coke THANK YOU!!! He fixed my car and we watched a movie. It was the perfect ending to the not-perfect day. Big Thank You to Elena who walked with me to get some food, seriously needed and ice cream.

So if you came accross me yesterday, I'm sorry. It was a day of sarcasim and griping. If you humored me, thank you too.

Love you all!

Meg

Hawaii or Bust.

So... I'm trying to figure out what to blog about and I thought, 'I haven't said anything about going to Hawaii.' So in case you don't know, Ben and I are going with my sister Melissa and her husband Kirk to Hawaii! We've never been, and Melissa and Kirk have both been many many MANY times. We figured that who better go with than pros at the island. We are very excited to be staying where we are, above is a picture of the view from where we are staying. We are very excited and we leave a couple of days after graduation. The only down side is that it is making getting to April all the harder and I'm dying to get there!!

Ben and I have been thinking a lot about having children lately, when to have them and we want to make sure it is for the right reasons. We don't want to have a baby because everyone says that we should, or because we are bored and think that it is the next step. We want to have a baby because it is the right thing for us to do. For us. Anyways, this blog isn't about babies, we are going to be traveling a lot lately before we have children and so we're thinking this fall... Europe. So, here's the question; If you've been to Europe, where do you suggest we go. One Main city, like Paris, London or Rome. What do you think?

I should explain...

So the thing behind all of these posts is... my friend Andrew's wife.

She has the cutest blog and is one of the sweetest women that I have ever met. So I followed a link that she posted on her blog and there is this blog by the most incredible women. She can sew like nobody I know, and I am so jealous. Anyways, she recreates these amazingly cute cloths that I always look for, but can never find. She also does these giveaways that are amazing. So I'm doing it. If you don't like it... I don't really care. But I still love you guys!
